WILD 4 LIFE

Wild4Life has been an Egmont Partner since 2018. They work in the rural north west of Zimbabwe to address the difficulties that isolated communities face in accessing healthcare. This includes improving the knowledge and practice of hundreds of village healthcare workers, so they can bring up-to-date medical advice to remote villages; and creating local support groups for HIV+ people, to share the burden of collecting medication from far-away clinics and help one another to stay healthy. This award recognises the remarkable impact of Wild4Life’s work to improve the healthcare of thousands of Zimbabwe’s rural poor. Thanks to them, poverty and distance are no longer a barrier to living full, healthy lives.

ANNA MSOWOYA-KEYS

For 20 years, Anna has worked tirelessly to alleviate the devastating impact of HIV & AIDS on children in her local community in northern Malawi. With 20 other women she created Kwithu Women’s Group (an Egmont Partner) to support the nutrition and education of hundreds of vulnerable children and orphans. She later founded a secondary school so these children could keep learning and the Kwithu Kitchen, a women-led social enterprise. Today, the children that Kwithu first supported have graduated college and are now giving back to their community. Anna’s vision and ambition are astounding and this award recognises her incredible achievements and selfless dedication to making a difference.
